The 1998 Alberta CEMS Code requires a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) be created and adhered to during CEMS operations. Subsequent auditing ensures that the plan is being followed and the system is working within required guidelines.

GASL develops a variety of QAP related documentation including:

Quality Assurance Plans

GASL creates customized, easy to read QAP's based on each client's specific requirements and equipment.  By providing only site relevant information in understandable language, strict adherence to the document is possible and the risk of falling out of spec because of misunderstood instructions is mitigated.

Routine Maintenance Plans

From the QAP, Routine Maintenance Plans can be developed to assist site maintenance technicians and outside contractors in providing uniform and necessary preventative maintenance operations.

Quality Assurance Plan Updates

In certain situations QAP documentation requires updating, GASL can review and provide the necessary changes.  Some of the situations that may require QAP updates include:

  • incomplete QAPs for any reason (such as plant changes)
  • QAPs that are outdated or are ineffective
  • QAPs that have failed an audit
  • Updates for plant license changes/updates
  • Updates for specification or regulation amendments

GASL can also assist in creation of guidelines for the following:

  • Document control
  • Spare parts inventory
  • Methods and procedures
  • Calibration and QC checks
  • Maintenance schedule
  • Corrective action programs
